I have a Sony Handycam that records mini DVDs and a Sony Cybershot camera. My goal is to take the recorded videos and stills and put them together. Our first attempts were frustrating and error-filled. We have Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6.

I figured out how to copy the discs, but not combine multiple mini-discs onto a single full-sized one. Do you have suggested resources or software recomendations that could get me started?

I'm reading this in one of two ways:

#1 - You want to take video clips, and stills, and make them into a new movie, made up of this mixed content. A documentary does this, where it takes a lot of clips, and then maybe has still images while audio narrates. Is this what you want?

#2 - You want to take all the videos and stills, and make a new DVD that has each one in a separate location. For example, on the menu you'd have "MOVIE1" and "MOVIE2" and "PHOTO ALBUM" as three separate pieces of content.

Which of these styles are you wanting to learn? Both, maybe?

Please get back to me, and we'll proceed.

For starters, we want #2. We want the videos intact with their sound.

Then, once that is accomplished, we would like to edit the home videos (cutting out the unneeded bits) and, when I get very brave, cut in stills making it your #1 with mixed content.

The guide created for this post was lost during the server hack/crash some months ago. If you need it restored for whatever reason, let me know.

Never got the guide or notification that one was posted. Yes, I would still like to get the information.
