Opinions on audio card for VHS transfer
I see a lot of discussion on choosing the best video card for VHS transfer but not much on audio. Are there just not many differences in audio cards for VHS capture purposes? I have a Creative SoundBlaster Live! and a Creative Audigy 2. I believe the Audigy is the higher end card. Anyone have and opinions one way or another? I'm not opposed to getting something else either. This is just what I already have. I'm trying to emphasize quality in my captures and some of them will have live music as well.
Probably should mention that I am using XP with an AIW 9600 as well. |
I did a bit more reading and the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz seems to be highly favored. I took a closer looks at my Audigy and it's an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro (sb0360). I've heard mixed opinions about the Creative line but mostly good things about this particular card. I know some here still prefer the SC card but I think that was in regard to just Audigy 2. How does that compare to the ZS Platinum Pro? I saw some older posts around the internet and hands down people seem to prefer the Audigy 2 to SC. I'm wondering why this forum seems to have a different opinion.
