For many years, I remember seeing the owner of
GeekStorage (Jay) active at WHT.
I just looked him up on WHT. His last activity/login was 2-22-19 @ 1:26am. And he posted in his 10th anniversary thread just a few days ago.
However, that said, it does look bad that their blog hasn't been updated since 2015, and I'm not sure what sort of customer newsletters/communication they have. Most hosts are terrible at custom contacts, and you're right to be uneasy.
But, thankfully, nothing I see is worrisome.
Just remember to keep a shortlist of hosts at all times, in case you must suddenly move.
MDDHosting is a great fallback option.
And keep local backups on your own computer -- and backup your computer!
