Useful vBulletin Mods (Plugins and Products)
 

The following vBulletin mods (plugins and products) have been used by myself and clients, or have been deemed worth further investigation and testing.

• Facebook Connect - http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=198499 - this add-on allows your guests and existing users to login with their Facebook account through Facebook Connect.

You know I have contemplated this have anyone used this ? Is it really worth it what is the big difference other than the obvious which is they can use facebook login

The benefits are purely for SEO (promote inter-linking) and ease of access to new and existing members. If your demographic is not one likely to be found on Facebook, then it would not be much use to you.

I actually see it as a security risk -- just a gut feeling.

This mod may be used on some other projects I am involved with, but not here on this forum.
