Beware of SEO services advertising with spam/scam emails

I usually delete these, but I just wanted to share a dumb email, as a warning for others: Never buy "SEO services" from random emails.
Quote:
"The domain seospecialists.com is for sale. To purchase, call BuyDomains.com at +1 339-222-5147 or 866-836-6791. Click here for more details." In all likelihood, this person is not named "Alex" but something native to the land of China, India or Pakistan. In this specific case, 202.142.20.252 is a Beijing, China IP address, meaning somebody in China sent this cold-calling email. Furthermore, most of these so-called "SEO services" are just website spammers. They'll spam blogs and forums with your domain name, and your business will get a very bad image. You'll be blamed as the spammer (and rightly so). We've wasted a lot of time cleaning spam from our forums, even with tight anti-spam protocols in place. Also... Here's a screen shot of the fake domain, as viewed in a web browser: Attachment 2216 . . Ridiculous. |
