illegal mpeg audiostream
 

im tryin to convert a .wav to an mp2 using besweet ...when i make it and try to multiplex it on tmpgenc it says illegal stream format....last time i used besweet it didnt do this....i followed Simple Guide on converting AVI to KVCD and i did read that some1 had this same problem but the method that helped him didnt help me.....i tried loading the .wav into headac3he and it says "Could not find data chunk!" but the part that really ticks me off is that i once had besweet set so that i wouldnt get this problem but now i do......help pleeeeeeeeze! :cry:

all i want to do is turn this simple .wav into a mp2 so i can multiplex it....thats it :(

Can you tell me the length in minute of you wav and the file size ?
I'm quite sure you have a mpa, not a wav...

it is 105mb, (111,071,232 bytes) and its length is 1:53:14...how do i ahve a mpa? i used that guide and i extracted the wav exzaclty how it said...it must be my besweet settings....could u clear things up for me?

That is not a wav file. If you extract it with virtualdubmod, you forgeted check menu, audio, full processing mode and compression, no compression (PCM), for sure, but instead direct stream copy was checked.

ok i did that but now i have a wav thats 1.2 gb long.... :x

It's ok, now convert it to mp2 with besweet or headac3he. Remember for KDVD target 48000 Hz mp2 (usually 192 Kbps) or ac3 (usually 384 but it is up to you, not lower than 192 Kbps) and for KVCD 44100 Hz mp2 (usually 128 Kbps).

i converted it and it turned out the same size as my other mp2 and it still says illegal stream format..

How do you convert it?
Are you targeting mp2 in headac3he or besweet?
Are you converting to 44100 for KVCD?
Did you try to multiplex with bbmpeg?
