HeadAC3he: quality of Wav to mp3?
 
in headac3he it is possible choice the quality of mp3 ?

In what way?
if I want a mp3 at 128 kbps, what i have to set?

or

what is the best option in the lame configuration?


now, i am using vbr and quality 9 and the sound seem ok...

I don't think Headac3ache is the candidate of choice for doing wav -> mp3. As its name tells, this tool deal mainly with ac3 stuffes.
Else, of course you can change the quality, simply click once or twice (it depends) on the "options" button, and the LAME configuration panel will open.

I think this is actually the best settings, or ABR is perhaps better than VBR ? Not sure.

Hi zagor,

For wav to mp3 I choose another freeware tool, CDex. This has a feature to compress wav to mp3.

Give it a try you won't be disappointed. :)

It's not "perhaps", it's "of course :-)".

Else you can you "dBPowerAmp Music Converter" that can convert from anything to everything and work form a complete directory if you need (I love that).

Hi zagor,

CDex can also work with directories and will convert the wavs in that folder in one fell swoop.

It is so easy to use also. :)
