Foobar 0.9 officially released

Hi guys,
I have noticed that Foobar 0.9 betas and Release Cadidates have a new Offset Correction parameter for CDDA extracting.
Since it already supported Paranoia could we finally be looking at a strong contester of EAC :?: :P
Foobar 0.9RC is still very light with not too many components, but it is already very stable as a simple media player.
I'm looking forward for a Foobar 0.9 final Release to test it aginst EAC :D.
Cheers

Hi Rui,

Does this mean we can rip with FooBar :?:
I didn't know that :)

Hi Karl :).
Yep, with 0.9RC you can.
And the CRC checksums of the songs match both when I use EAC and Foobar.
Do I see the light?
This is wonderful because Andre from EAC has always kept his source code for himself.
I'm not claiming that he should go open source or anything.
But let's suppose that some company like S0ni wants to go after him and he has to shut off his project like Luk did with DVDD?
Now we'll have an option and it'll be inside our favorite player :D.
Cheers

Great :D

OT
And now, on another topic, have you heard AAC+ streams :?:
http://www.tuner2.com/tuner/listen.pls?id=47
Click on that, and listen on WinAmp. Tell me what you hear 8O :D
Do you see the bitrate of that stream :?:
I'm just dying to see some portable players that support it

And why would I need WinAmp to hear that online radio station?
I've got Foobar, remember?
It plays AAC streams right out-of-the-box :D.
And now it's been updated to 0.9RC2.
Too bad AudioCD pregaps will be postponed to 0.9.1...:(
I guess I'll stick to EAC for a few more months until the bug is found and fixed.
That ultra low bitrate AAC radio station sounded very impressive 8O
Do you know more radio stations that broadcast such ultra low bitrates?
Preferably Rock radio stations :).
Cheers

A question,

Does foobar play AAC+v2 files (with parametric stereo), in stereo or does it render it in omono?

I'm listening to all my encodes with Foobar, and it's clearly in stereo :)
