Data chunk not found???
Hi all,
This is how the story goes. I got my downloaded movie with MP3 sound, extracted it with VirtualDub to a .wav file. Then, I opened it with HeadAC3he and it said "Could not find data chunk!". What does this mean? :? How can I solve this little problem :?: |

It's still an mp3 file. Headac3he is using the header to figure out how to convert, but the format is wrong. Here's what to do next. 1) Rename extracted wav file to mp3. 2) Use BeSweet and convert mp3 to uncompressed wav file. .....BeSweet ignors the wav header and looks at data format to convert. .....This file should get very large, so check the file size afterwards. 3) Use Headac3he to convert to mp2. :? -black prince |
Thanks. However, I couldn't find out how to convert MP3 to WAV with BeSweet to I just converted MP3 to AC3 and loaded the AC3 into HeadAC3he and it worked. But, could you tell me how to convert MP3 to WAV with BeSweet so I don't have to waste my time converting it to an AC3 file? :)

Just use HeadAC3he. Open your mp3 file and select wav as output. -kwag |
if you select full processing mode under audio in Virual dub it will uncompress the mp3 and save it as a true wav file as well.
