How to put only audio on VCD ?

Hi !
I think I'm a little bit off topic, but I was not sure where to post.
I have a Technics standalone DVD-player and i want to put audio
only on a vcd (?) to listen to more than just 80 min per disc.
Does anybody know how to help me ?

PS: I hope I made myself clear :?

You could create an avs scrip with only this line:

BlankClip(250,352,288)

for a 10 sec. (250 frame for PAL) black clip and resolution of 352 X 288 then encode with TmpgEnc.
After this you can mux your 10 seconds clip with your audio using BBMpeg.
Then you can authoring with vcdeasy and add chapters (for every song) and burn on cd.
On my dvd player when video stop the audio still going.
If this doesen't work you have to create a clip as long as the audio you want to put on cd (black clip don't take much space).
HTH.
bye

Roxio's WinONCD can make what you want (they call it a "music album").

You can also try it the hard way:

1) create a mpeg still with VCDEasy (for example the album cover, or the tracks list, or just a blank screen).
2) mux the mpeg still with your mp2, USING IAUTHOR (BBMpeg or TMPGEnc won't work).
3) build and burn the VCD with VCDEasy (note: you have to include a short, dummy mpeg video because you can't have a VCD with stills only - in the VCDEasy\Extras folder you can find a ready to use clip).

Both WinONCD and Iauthor are not free :(

You can try to mux a really short movie with your mp2 like suggested in the above post but it is not standard and won't work in every player :(.

You can try making a movie with just a blank screen encoded at the lowest bitrate your player can stand, but you're wasting disk space :(.

I gave up all this since my player can play MP3's :).

Hi schnitzel79

I saw an app months ago calledFlyvcd you basically select any number of images can be any format as it converts them to mpeg and then select your audio tracks, these can be mp3 as it converts them for you as well. At the end of it all you will have an mpeg file with your images and soundtrack, all you need to do then is burn it.
