Convert BeSweet AC3 to MP2 with excellent sound quality!
Hi!
Lately I've dropped HeadAC3he for BeSweet+GUI with the following parameters : -azid( -s surround2 -c normal -L -3db --maximize ) -ssrc( --rate 44100 ) -2lame( -m d -p 2 -b 128 -e ). I personnaly find it produces a better sound than HeadAC3he, maybe because it maxes output with a first pass. I've basically copied parms used in DVD2CVCD, changing psy model and surround to 2, and encoding mode to dual channel (thanx for the tip kwag!) It takes a bit longer because of the first pass, but I think it's worth. |
Graal_CPM,
Are you getting sound from the rear speakers in surround 2? I've tried it but I'm not hearing anything from the rear. -Yoda |
 Thanx for drawing my attention on that. I assumed DS2 was fully compatible with regular DS (Dolby says it is), and I've done several encodings using it (and actually, HeadAC3he can use DS2 too).
I ha the feeling that my last snd tracks with DS2 were ok, but I should check again by hear. Meanwhile, I take back what I said in my first post : I won't use DS2 with besweet from now on. A post on doom9 let me think it's still unstable : http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...&highlight=ds2 It's true it has been only recently introduced into Besweet (less than one year?) So we'd better stick to good old DS until further notice. Do you have problem with DS2 soundtracks made with HeadA3he too? Thanx again Yoda. |

Just had a question on two of your settings. I noticed you had -c normal to set dynamic compression to normal, and -p 2 to set PSY model to 2. Could you explain what both of these mean and why you use them? Thanks! |
