Best BeSweet Alternatives?
Somebody said that BeSweet, can be use as an alternative to Headache3. If so, I really would like to know how. Up to now, Headache3 has been nothing but a train wreck for me, tryin to assemble it with DLLS and the like.

You only have to download the HeadAC3he main common program, and then the ICL DLL's for your corresponding CPU. That's it! I've been using HeadAC3he for about a year, and I don't see myself changing for anything else. You get the best audio quality and encoding speed, with Dolby Prologic II sound. It sounds wonderful on a Prologic receiver. Never had a single problem with it 8) -kwag |
..Why would I have to download the MP3 encoding DLLS like lame, since TMPGenc only supports MP2 ???

It is my understanding that many dvd players will play both ntsc and pal KVCDs though, so if your source file is ntsc, it might be better to just save yourself the hassle of the ntsc->pal conversion by encoding it with an ntsc resolution and framerate and seeing if it will play properly in your player. Good luck. -d&c |
CaLaFaT my friend,
sorry for late to help you. using  BeSweetGUI, you can change the framerate easy! |
Thanks for your help guys...

Can headache convert MP2 or WAV to AC3?

"audio source" to  ac3-wave :!: |
Jorel, I'm trying to convert an NTSC movie to PAL. MY player cannot output PAL signal from NTSC film, nor can my TV play NTSC properly.
Anyway, I found a guide on doom9 that said use BeSweet GUI, like you said, for converting the audio part from 23.976 to 25.0 fps I set all the options for 23.976 to 25.0 and teh SSRC downsampling to 44100Hz and the 2Lame settings, then I press wav to mp2 button. BeSweet Command prompt pops up with some info and informs me it is "transcoding", but it just keeps saying that forever (i ran it over 4 hours) - something is wrong! headac3he takes about 20 mins (although headac3he can't change fps. What am I doing wrong. Video converts fine using AVIFrate and TMPGEnc to 25fps. If only I could get the audio converted! |
I HATE that guide telling to use AVIFrate ! That's a complete crap !
What you have to do is to use "ChangeFPS(25.000) in your script and let the audio as it. That's all ! And if you do not like the result (some don't) you have tu use "AssumeFPS" insteed of "ChangeFPS" but this time ytou will need to convert the fps for the audio with besweet. I already noticed than sometimes besweet failed if you work from an already comrpessed (mpa or mp3) audio file. You must uncompress it has wav PCM and use this as source in besweet. |
Video converted fine with TMPGEnc. Finally got audio to convert but had to use BeSweet in three separate sessions, first to convert rate to 25fps, tehn to down sample to 441000Hz then finally to create mp2 with Lame. For some reason it refuses to do all three things at once using the Wav to MP2 button - very weird!
Now I have muxed and will try in my sony player - however having read some other responses to my otehr posts, I fear my player is not KVCD compatible so I guess I'll just wait till Christmas for a DivX compatible player. |
