HeadAC3he: Good Pro-Logic II Receiver?

Hi all...

I'm thinking about getting a Pro-Logic II Receiver, to emulate Surround-Sound for my KVCDs. How much money do I have to spend, and what are good brands and models?

Hi Jellygoose,

I have an RCA receiver. I got it for around $350.00, and I can't complain :)
You can even get other models/brands from around ~$199.00. Mine is an RCA RT2280.
Or you can get this one: http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2451 which is the one I believe SansGrip bought back in December, while he was searching for Prologic Receivers

So that one supports Pro-Logic II right? What are you're experiences with it? I mean does it almost sound like 5.1 ?

do you get scared when a monster jumps out a bush behind you?

Yes it does :!: It's very close. There's channel separation on the rear speakers. In regular Prologic, there's not. Only in Prologic II.

Damn yes  The other day we were watching a movie, and there was a helicopter sound on our left, and I asked my wife to "mute" the audio just to see if it was real or not :)

I was thinking about getting the Pioneer VSX-C100 Receiver... It's the cheapest Pro-Logic II receiver available around here, for 206 euros...

Does anyone have experience with that one?
