They are actually in sync if you record (capture) the visuals when you are playing the music. This way, when we encode to mpeg and mux with the audio track, everything is in sync automatically :)

This post sounds really interesting i would love to try some experiments onf my own and see what results i have thanks for that link to that free capture tool Kwag. :)

why don't 5.1 from waves?
example:
from your audio cds,simlulate(edit) in audio editor the surround,lfe,etc
and burn as KACD(5.1)!

the surround can be created using t-racks and/or cool edit (wave editors),
the lfe using low pass filters and/or equalizations.....etc!
after this convert to ? (don't know what format) and burn!

ps:
t-racks can do REAL stereo(surround) in the hear channels too!
(two individual channels in the hear channels)

then we will get real (personal) 5.1 channels.

is possible KACD(5.1) like this :?:
