HeadAC3he: Red M's Guide links problems
Tried to download HeadAC3he from Red M's Guide but it would seem I've been send back an forth from one site to the other to no avail. When I click HeadAC3he (from Red M's Guide) I've been redirected to the downloadpage, ok again clicked on HeadAC3he which brings me to Lycos (German language) and before I could read any instructions it took me to again another site called Dark Avanger..... and so on and so on for almost an hour. It really gives me a headache. Is there anything I've done wrong?
Any help, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated JJ |
That's strange, I just went to the link and everything is there :!:

Hi Kwag,
Thanks for your reply. Well, I clicked on the URL you provided and the same thing happened, but I think in those 5 seconds at Lycos the downloads has been done, because I've found all of them in my download files. I'm new to this you see so I wasn't aware of it all. Another thing I'm not sure of is that I should download DVD2AVI v. 1.76 but when I was redirected to the respective download site I found v. 1.77 so I hope this will work because my plan is to use the Red M's guide when I'm going to experiment with all of this. Hope you can enlighten me on this one. Thanks in advance. J.J. |
Hi Jazzy James,
You "must" use DVD2AVI version 1.76 :!: Versions 1.77.x won't work! Try to access the site via this proxy server: www.webwarper.net See if that way you can download the files. -kwag |
Don't use any "download manager/accelerator/helper" programs because they can be problematic....get each file the old-fashioned way, by right-clicking your mouse and selecting "save-target-as". Maybe this was the source of your problem? If not, then I don't know...that link is working fine for me.
You are correct that dvd2avi v1.76 is no longer visibly listed at its main download site. However, it is still there!...it's merely hidden. If you follow the exact full link to dvd2avi v1.76 that is provided in the main "Downloads" stickypost here: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2553 , then you will still be able to download the correct/necessary version (1.76) from that site, even though you can't see it there. A couple other links for that particular program can be found in other posts here as well by doing a search. Good luck kvcd-ing, -d&c |
Hi guys,
Thanks for your input -kwag and dazed & confused. All of a sudden I realize I was thinking of all of this was a piece of cake and nobody is to blame but me so I guess I had to change my username like this: "entangled & frustrated" but from now on I'll read every piece of information I can get to achieve my goal and start all over again. Thanks again guys and keep up the good work. This is the most comprehensive site I've ever found on the Internet!! See ya! J.J. |
