WAV Codec?
 

I have just convert a AC3 AVI file to WAV with virtualdub, and the sound won't play. RealOnePlayer says that it is in an unsupported audio format and i need the codec. what program can i use to scan the file, so i can see what codec i need?

i already have the AC3codec.

Never convert an ac3 with Vdub, it is nor it's job and it does it very poorly.

Just extract it using "Direct Stream Copy" and convert it with besweet or headac3che.

Note: in fact I'm quite sure you just extracted the audio but vdub always put "wav" as extension whatever the format of the audio. In fact you still have an ac3 stream that you should rename *.ac3.
