HeadAC3he: 48kHz to 44.1khz issue

do we really have to resample to 44.1 if wav file is at 48 mhz?

can we do all the process and leave it to 48?

thx

You can, and you'll get better sound if your standalone supports it.
Most DVD players only support 44.1Khz when in VCD mode.
So compatibility will be higher at 44.1Khz.

How about SVCD and 48 Khz?

Same thing! Its all based on the players tolerance.

AND: 48.000khz do neet MORE bitrate to obtain same quality like at 44.100Khz!
Means 128kbit is already a bit risky for 48.000khz but still "ok"

Never downsample to 48mHz, while m stands for mili-Hertz
But seriously, I think that muxing as SVCD will be good compromise, also differend for differend standalone.
