BeSweet: Cannot convert 24kHz MP3/WAV to MP2, shibatch.dll crashes

Cannot convert 24kHz MP3/WAV to MP2. shibatch.dll crashes besweet 1.5b26. Is there a solution to this?

GSPOT tells me the audio is MPEG-2 Layer 3, I suppose this is different from MPEG-1 Layer 3 even though they are both labeled as MP3.

tooLAME problems with BeSweet v1.5b26.
DSPguru did a new "fixed".

It didn't work unfortunately, shibatch.dll and besweet keep crashing. I tried toolame and MP2Enc.

Bug confirmed by DSPGuru and it seems it won't be fixed in the near future.

Encode the MP3 file to WAV, then use the command line tool SSRC to resample to whatever you want (44100Hz or 48000Hz?)
