I dont know if your sound source is ac3 but if it is there was a similar problem >here<

I had the same problem a couple of times but i simply used the Latest BeSweet and BeSweetGUI and it converted it fine for me.

Go >Here< for BeSweet

If it is AC3 you can also use AC3Fix to remove the WAV header and so it will be recognized as AC3.

Can you tell me if this information shows the ac3 format you are talking about?

Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer 3-Codec. 48 hz sampling stream

XviD - mpeg 4 codec.

I don't know which part of virtual dub information page tells me. All I think I can see is that MPEG Layer 3 - codec is mp3 if I am right.

I'm listing details here because A. I don't know which identifies it being ac3 audio.
B. I am having that "can't find data chunk" message

make sure you select audio>full processing mode>compression>no compression and save as a new wav that should do it.load up the new wav into headac3e.

As you guessed, your file isn't ac3 but mp3. When it's ac3 that is clearly indicated : AC3.

Did that and worked. But I have a new problem. After I use TOk to activate tmpgenc to make the new mpg there is no sound.

Dialhot 05-25-2004 06:50 AM

I think that is normal : you have to ask to TOK to do all the process (video + audio) or you tell it that you have an external audio file.

In the later case, TOK do only video and you have to mux the 2 manually.

But I didn't use Tok since months...
