Great Jorel,
I have been visiting dark avenger site almost on a daily basis and I was hoping he would update his project. AC3 is good :D Cheers |
THanx Jorel for the news
One question though-if the earlier version is running fine is there any need to get the new one |
Downloaded and installed :)
Thanks jorel ;) -kwag |
Hi guys,
Notice that at the end of the thread there's a link to a newer 024a10a :!: Quote:
I'm not jorel and I dont speak German as in that thread but I've used HeadAC3he since a long time. HeadAC3he v0.23, that we've been using for a long time, never gave me a single problem. If this v0.24a10a is only an update for AAC/AC3 encode then I suppose we're all fine with good old v0.23, because we only do MP2. For those using Besweet because of the lack of AAC/AC3 support on headAC3he, then they should take a look at this new build. Cheers |
Thanks Rui :D

Thanks Rui, I downloaded that version also. :D
|
Thanks Rui
The a version has an ac3enc.dll which the other version didn't |
@all,
You're all welcome as it was jorel that advised us of this new version, so thanks go to him. I'll give it a test run and if it's working ok I'll post here so that others start using it too. I'm a little suspicious because I've seen several guys at Dark Avenger's own forum suspecting of him! They say this Dark Avenger is not the original one. As the other DA could easily fix bugs in his tool and this one doesn't seem to be able to do the same... I wonder if they're right about that? Cheers |

ink, help us to understand the news, translate it please! |
Thanks for the info on the updates jorel, im downloading now.
Did you try to translate using Google? |
hans-jürgen tranlation:
"Now the options for FAAC are implemented, but use some wrong defaults like the Main profile instead of LC and a cutoff at 20 kHz instead of 16 kHz for a VBR quality of 100%. Since you can change this to the recommended settings (see e.g. the thread about 5.1 FAAC encoding in this forum), it is not that important. The sample rate 24 kHz for downsampling the input is available now, too. MP4 output is still not possible, so you would have to use mp4creator/mp4UI afterwards for muxing the multichannel AAC track with a MPEG-4 video track. MP4Box (file muxer from the GPAC project) wouldn't work for this, because it doesn't accept AAC ADTS files as input. I don't know if the muxer in the IBM Toolkit for MPEG-4 could handle them, but 3ivx DS filters should work, too." thank you hans-jürgen for that big favor! |
Thanks for posting the translation Jorge much appreciated buddy. :)

Hello guys :)
Just thought that I would remind you that there is available release 0.24a12 at http://forum.gleitz.info/attachment....chmentid=67825. I haven't been testing these new releases so I cannot say if it's looking good or not. Maybe Jorel can let us know as he is also a big fan of headac3he. Cheers |
Thanks for the update rds. :)

D/L'd the file and launched it, so I've found out myself it still needs the various DLL's which aren't included in the RAR archive (amazing how sometimes I manage to be so self-sufficient  ).

Always a good thing to try tools on your own. Then you can ask less basics questions and more intermidate questions. That's why I always do so. Even though I'm not even an intermediate user, anyway :? Cheers |
