Cracking in audio - Any filter or software that removes it?
I have some tapes made by a digital JVC camcorder and I am now editing them again on my PC via my new Panasonic and everything is OK except for one tape. When I put the video there are many cracking sounds. Signle short crack sometimes alone, sometimes several following eachother... annoying.
Does anyone know of any filter or software or plugin that could fix, silence, erase,... do whatever with them? The video is in DV format but I can put it into any format or take out the WAV,.. so what I need is a software,.. that would fix this. |
Cooledit or goldwave have both great filters to removecraks in vinyl LPs. They can surely do wonders on your sources.

Thanks again! :D
Will try both. |
While you're at it, try also Steinberg Clean.
This also works miracles on audio restoration. |
