Problem with Burning using Nero

Hi
I had an AVI file that I convert it to MPG using EO Video.
Then I used the TMPGEnc to convert the MPG file to VCD using KVCD-CQ-352x240 template. The conversion was successful and I can view the file using WMP.
Finally, I burned the file into VCD using Nero 6.0 (after unchecking the standard VCD option).
When I tried to view the file using my DVD player, I can only hear the audio and I have blank green screen.
Any help will be appreciated.

Why don't you convert directly your AVI in KVCd ? You have a BIG lost in quality there.

BTW, fior the greenish screen problem, did you test first if your player is capable to play KVCD ?

Do u mean using the AVI as an input directly to TMPGEnc?

Yes. My player is capable of playing KVCD since I tested this before. After reading through the forum, I guess this could be a burning problem since I am using a burning speed of x48. Do u think I should use a slower speed (x8 for example)?
Thanks a lot for your help.

In spite that you can load an avi directly into TMPGEnc, it is much better to use avisynth frameserver to apply some filters (i.e. Dialhot V4 script) to avi file, and later load avs script into TMPGEnc.

Yes, maximal x8.

Edited: Dialhot has more experience than me. Take maximal x12 .

Yes it is. But we are discussing about that in an other thread you opened.

Thinking or not is not the problem. Do not use 48x :-). 12x is a maximum.

BTW, you should use RW media at least until all work correctly.

Hi
I tried burning the files at 8x but I still have the same green blank screen. Again the audio is there but no video. I manged to open the .dat files in WMP but they do not play in my DVD player.
So I do not think it is a writing-speed problem. I am doing something wrong while burning the CD using Nero 6.
Any hints?

Try with vcdeasy to see if the problem is in this part (burning) or before (making the KVCD).

I tried VCDeasy but still the GREEN blank screen is all what I have + audio.
So my guess it is not a burning problem. What can be wrong?

You have to list all the diffeernce between the KVCd you are doing right know, and the ones that you said you already tested with succes on your player.

Then we will find what can be the problem. Because there is surely something different between the two.
