Burning m1v files with Nero?

I'm a newbie so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have an .avi file that is 105 mins, and I want to put it on a KVCD. In TMPGEnc I used the KVCD-CQ-352x480 template and got a file in m1v format. When putting this into Nero it won't burn as a VCD (I turned off standard compliance). I must have missed some steps. What do I need to do? thanks...

Hi dastott,

An .m1v is a video stream. It doesn't contain audio.
You must multiplex your .m1v with a .m2v (audio stream), so you then get a .mpg file.
Then Nero will let you import the file.
Please read some of the guides available at www.kvcd.net on the right side.

Thanks. I will read them when I get home. It sounds quite complicated!

I believe kwag is a bit tired :hihi: , as what he really wanted to say is that .mp2 is the audio stream (not .m2v).
The .m2v is also designated to a video stream, but an mpeg2 stream.

Yes. I'll write it 100 times on a paper:

.mp2, not .m2v
.mp2, not .m2v
.mp2, not .m2v
.mp2, not .m2v
.mp2, not .m2v
.mp2, not .m2v
............................
