Why does creating a cue/bin file increase file size by 100MB?
 

I have encoded my audio and video, muxed them together and have a final MPEG file of 803MB. No problem with overburn I thought.

But after adding the file to VCDEasy and starting to burn, the created cue/bin files end up over 100MB bigger at 924MB. Now even with overburn set I don't think that will fit on an 80min CDR.

Is there a way to burn a SVCD without first creating a cue/bin file, or do you have to take into account a poosible increase to file size when choosing the correct CQ to encode in?

Help please, as I don't wish to re-encode if my original MPEG will fit.

The problem was when you muxed. How did you perform that ?

I muxed using the standard mutiplex option of TMPGEnc, (not simple multiplex). :?

So you probably forgot to set the muxing mode to VCD(non standard) or SuperVideoCD AFTER you have load the source.

I've generally set that BEFORE adding the source files.

Yes it does : when you load the source, TMPEGenc automatically changes the mode to what it thinks the source is. So if you set "VCD(non standard) and load the file "video.m1v", the mode is changed into "MPEG1 (system)" ;-)
