Compiling a 'best of' DVD-R
Hello all,
What I'm trying to do is create a new DVD-R whose chapters are composed of chapters ripped from numerous DVD's. Like, CH1=lobby scene from Matrix, CH2=attack scene from ID4, etc. I can successfully rip the individual chapters from thses DVD's into separate VOB's and there supporting files (.ifo, .bup, etc.), but I don't know what software will allow me to organize these separate VOB chapters into a burnable grouping of files WITHOUT re-encoding the video. Is this possible? I have tried de-muxing the vob's into separate files, and then remuxing back to .mpg (mpeg2), but would this buy me anything? Can I then combine and transform these .mpg files into a burnable VOB set of files without re-encoding? If so what software will do this? Any help would be appreciated. |
Hi Scav:
You need IfoEdit. It's a very complex program, but you can re-generate your .ifo's from the VOB's. Basically, after you create ( or re-create ) your .ifo's, bup's etc. with this program, you can burn your DVD-R with Nero or other DVD authoring programs. Download Ifoedit here: http://www.dvd-digest.net/downloads/.../Ifoedit09.zip I think it has a readme file. kwag |
