Good software for DVD Authoring options?

I've already used TMPGEnc to convert some 340x240 video files to 352x240; I simply centered and kept video size so I ended up with 8 pixel black borders on the left and the right.

The M2V files created look great in media player, and are the correct resolution. However, the TMPGEnc DVD Author seems to automatically resize the M2V's when converting to VOB, and when I view the VOB's, they're 720x540 resolution.

I haven't been able to find the resolution setting in DVD Author, so I'm trying to find a good authoring software.

What's a DVD authoring software that allows you to specify VOB output resolution?

352*240 MPEG1 is a valid stream for a DVD
352*240 MPEG2 is not !

That's why TMPGEnc Author reencode all your video and put them in a valid format usable on a DVD.

With an other tool you will just face a "this stream isn't valid" error message and can't do anything else.

Encode your video as MPEG1 and all will be okay (think also to do the audio in 48Khz else TMPGENC Auth will recode it !).

EDIT: it seems that the answer I gave here is wrong. See Vmesquita post in this other thread :
