A lot of things in this lien don't have any mean so it will be diffucult to tell you want is wrong.

Correct things would be 23.976 with 3:2 pulldown, 29.970 and 25. 23 doesn't means anything at all.

If you want help please BE PRECISE, use sentence with subject and verb and read your post before to press "submit".

Tahnk you.

Again 29.9 DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING !

Do you mean 29.970 ? Or really 29.9 ? If that is 29.9, then tmpgenc is right : this is NOT a correct framerate.

For the GOP length, it must be 18 maximum in NTSC or 15 in PAL. But this part is only a warning in TMPGENC and if you don't have any other error than this one, then you will be abble to click on "continue" and process with the authoring.

Here is just the framerate problem that blocks you.

o im sorry 29.97
abd for the other anser i was figuring/hoping that was correct. least that wont stop me from burning.

i just figured out i had the no frame rate converstion tab checked sorry about the hassle i figured it was someing easy

but know i have a new problems. TmpgEnc is giving me a new error:

Could not initialize decoder

any ideas with that?
I've Re-booted, Re-installed, then re-booted didnt fix

Sounds to me as if TMPGEnc DVD-Author wants to re-encode the stream somehow. Why else would an authoring software need any kind of decoder?
@ trigger: what is your source, DVD or Avi or something else? how did you encode it (what programs did you use?)

i ripped dvd with dvd decripter, used dvd2mpeg to make vobs accesable with TmpEnc plus. I converted to "29.79 frames per/sec" 720x480 rez, 2500 bitrate, 128 48 sound. I also used the KDvd full teplate what i listed b4 was what i changed.

Sorce is Vob

What was the freq of your soruce ?
I think you diod a mistake there : you need 23.976 with pulldown.
But nevertheless I don't think that is the problem of tmpgenc author.

The problem is that the way you explain your problem we have to guess more than to read. So it's impossible to answer. Sorry.

trigger911 03-18-2004 11:17 PM

the source is 23.976 i just tryed converting with 23.976 with the 3:2 pulldown but same error as last.
Ive never used tmpgenc dvd author yet but im thinking of returnng the software and trying somthing ealse got any ideas?

Ah yea jellygoose TmpgEnc dvd author from what the box says dosnt come with encoder and the you must use the bundles plus ver and do it yourself. All it does is recode sound and turn the video into dvd ready vobs.

i fixed it last night i changed the aspect ratio from 1:1 Vga to 4:3 display and works fine no more problems as of now but thanx for the help and sorry for not being good at descriptions  I'll just do better next time
