Video aspect is wrong after DVD authoring?

I am having a problem Authoring a DVD. The Video Aspect appears to be incorrect. It is supposed to be Widescreen(16:9) but it appears to be 4:3. I used DVDit PE to author the Video. I used TMPenc to Encode and Kwags
DVD 720X480 template. Any idea where I screwed up at?

Your DVD is probably anamorphic. You should use FitCD, and check "anamorphic" on destination, if source is detected as anamorphic. Then you'll be creating an anamorphic DVD with the original aspect.

Hey raagaaman,

Is it a software player that is showing you the wrong aspect or a consumer player?

If it's a software player, is it WinDVD ? If so, your video is probably fine. Try playing it with PowerDVD and see if it comes out OK. On my systems, I find that WinDVD cannot properly play a stand along MPG that is anamorphic. If it has an IFO file associated with it, like on a DVD WinDVD will play it fine, but by itself it cannot.

Or after rereading your post I see that you have already made the DVD. OK in this case, if your incoming aspect was set to 16:9 and your outgoing aspect is set to 16:9 you should have no problem. How did you have TMPGenc set ?

Later ....
