Avisynth: Widescreen to Fullscreen?

Can i put a 2.35:1 widescreen film in fullscreen 1.33:1 using Avisynth?

Yes but do not do that. There is NO reason that can justify to loose 30% of the picture to avoid black bars.

I do not like FS films but someone i know wants a film in FS from WS, any help would be nice :)

BL bar removed = picture area increased = compressibility reduced = overall quality deeply reduced.

Keep the bars and change your friend ;-)

Here is a little lesson in Widescreen to Fullscreen... aside from Dialhot's loss of quality reason, you cannot capture the full picture and convert it to fullscreen, unless you crop off edges.

Try converting "Last of the Mohicans" to Fullscreen from Widescreen... you'll see. 8)
