Is there anyone that tested it yet ? Boulder, I know you did :).

It really requires a rather HQ material, that's what I've noticed - it will enhance the bad stuff in the video as well as the details. I very rarely use sharpening in my encodes so I haven't used it extensively.

Is it "usable" or still in a very beta stage ? I saw that the thread started in late 2005 and was dropped until few weeks ago. I saw also that Didee considered it as a part of a more global task. But I did not read more than the 3 first pages of the thread. Does it deserve a better reading according to you ?

It is very much usable, I don't think Didée will finish his big project any time soon since he's quite busy with work. If there were any major problems with the function, they would be in that thread. Just make sure you don't have soothe.avsi (or import soothe.avs in your script) in your plugins folder because SeeSaw includes a function of the same name which doesn't work the same way.

On a clean source, what would you recommend, LS() or seasaw?

I'd try SeeSaw first, possibly even without any specific denoiser clip (i.e. no need to define the a or b clip). SeeSaw does some light denoising on its own if you don't specify any clips.

This was the very first example provided, and as everything the script needed some tweak. And that is correct that the image is not so pleasant with seasaw.
But further into the thread there is this.
And this time you can't say that result with seasaw is bad. Isn't it ?
