Avisynth: Video skip problem!

Hi Kwag and Xperts

I've successful converting Indian NTSC Interlaced DVDs from 29.970fps to
23.976fps using Decomb.dll v4.0, dividee's MPEG2DEC.dll, DVD2AVI186, TMpgenc 257, KVCDx3 MPEG2 544x480, bbmpeg 1.24beta13, vcdeasy 1.2

These are the two lines i use to do this before resize.
Telecide()
Decimate(cycle=5)

WinDVD shows the .mpeg with no problems. But VCD in APEX 600A, it skips couple of frame every 2seconds. This is happening with only some VCDs I create but not all.

What are my options.

How about decoding audio in DVD2AVI and passing it directly to TMPGENc
or does IVTC or IntverseTelecine filters do the same for me?

I will do research on them, but pl. feed me with your expertise.

BTW, 29.970fps VCDs work perfectly but thats 20% wastage in space.

I have video skips now in many DVDs. Pl. help:

DVD2AVI186: NTSC Force Film, demux
Headache 23a: 224kbps sorround2 dualchannel mp2
avi2mpg2 1.24 b13: svcd
KVCD MPEG2 NTSC x3 544x480 or 480x480.

It looks good in PC but video skip starts in APEX 600a.

which part to look for issue?

Kwag!!

if the source is ~100% NTSC then you can't inverse telecine and you need to encode at 29.97 and uncheck Force Film in dvd2avi.

Thanks Randal.

Found the issue.

I alway keep Tmpgenc opened and just change video source, settings.
Its setting most of the setting as per video source but not the frame rate and its keeping it at 23.97fps instead of 23.97(internally 29.97fps).

That's what is causing the skip.

Thanks.
