Frame rate and file prediction

I don't know if this matters or not. But if you do not use forced film in DVD2AVI because the Film % is below 95 and then simply put the d2v in fitcd. I don't think it gives you the correct total frames if you plan on IVTC with the decomb filter. I am I right ?

Yes you are :), because the frame rate being fed is 29.97 instead of 23.976. So if you're using "Sampler()" for prediction, and you're not using Telecide and Decimate to bring down the fps, you need to send a parameter to sampler like this: "Sampler(length=24)"
If you don't, sampler will take 30 frames per sample instead of 24.

But if you are IVTC'ing and keeping the framerate in the template at 24, then just use Sampler()?

Right :D, because sampler will detect 23.976 and round it to 24.
