tmpgenc cannot open source file for file prediction
 

i always read in your posted avs scripts

Mpeg2Source("K:\S1M0NE_WS\VIDEO_TS\simone.d2v")

but, what do i have to change if my mpeg2source is an .mpg file?
if i just set the path to the file, tmpgenc will work for nearly 10 seconds and i get a mini video file , which says: "could not open mpeg2source"

You can't open mpeg file directly with mpeg2source.
You have to create a DVD2AVI project first.
Otherwise you can use Mpegdecoder http://nic.dnsalias.com to open mpeg files.

still don´t know , what i´m doing, but it works 8)

i got a movie , which lasts 88min , i used the kvcd 3x template, an i get a cq value of 66, after several samples.

max bitrate 2500
min bitrate 300

are these values which could fit :?:
