I'm sorry MenderOne, but I can't help you too much there :!:
I barely do any DivX(XviD) to mpeg conversion, for reasons of quality degradation ( it's always one more lost generation of encoding ), and I never liked the end results. There's nothing like a DVD->KVCD conversion, or real prime material->KVCD. Not "SomeMaterial"->DivX->MPEG
I usually stay out of those topics
I'm sure someone will read the post and give you some ideas, but I really stay away of MPEG-4->MPEG conversions :?

An Mpeg 4 will load up in TMPGEnc just like a regular Mpeg and the audio will automatically fall where it should go, howerver like Kwag said the end result is not very pretty specially when you endode straight up from the source

Kwag, TOTALLY agree, and understand, unfortunately sometimes to get material that I would like , I am forced to convert the XviDilusions   PUN TOTALLY INTENDED,  as it's the only format available for the material I searched for :(

OVG 64, the only way I got TMPEGEnc to load this XviD avi was to frameserve it as it wouldn't accept it in it's originally content (AC3 audio Fraunhofer IIS , 4CC XviD Video, checked for bad frames and there were none) for the life of me I can't figure out why.
