Avisynth makes movies look soft?

I don`t particualarly like the new optimal script, it makes movies look soft, it changes the original colours of movies eg. look at the whites, and its slower compared to some off the older scripts.

This is just an opinion after lots off testing with old and new.

Sorry I really can't duplicate your results! for me the movies look sharper, more natural and just plain better with the newest script. Encoding time went down for me by about 30 %, so no complains here...

Hi vdermerwedz,

Does that mean that you can't get your movies to look like this:
www.kvcd.net/extreme-scenechange.mpg
or www.kvcd.net/06022003-test.mpg
or www.kvcd.net/Foreigner-scd.mpg :?: :?: :?:

When I use the latest optimal script, my clips come out the same, but when I use what I like the pics are sharper and clearer, I still use blockbuster noise, and sharp with bilinear resize, and temporalcleaner,

I don`t know to me mine looks better, but maybe i am being to critical, I just like the movie to look as clear and sharp as a dvd at 528x576, but the masses can`t be wrong so I`ll keep testing.
