Prediction with CQ VBR?

Ok here is the thing i want to experiment with CQ_VBR and low Resolution, Now my :?: is manual prediction is accurate with CQ_VBR :?: I know that the video ini on tok to VBR_Auto will change tok to use that mode, but dont know what to do to chainge the Max n min. bitrate and the CQ_VBR from 100% to a lower value. Any clues anyone :?:

Hi ovg64,

Try this, with either CQ or CQ_VBR on  KVCDx3 528x480.
(1) Set the MAX bitrate to 2,000Kbps ( No need for a higher value if you are using the MA script. )
(2) Set your MIN bitrate to 50% of average bitrate required ( look it up in MovieStacker ). If 50% is below 300Kbps, then leave it at 300Kbps
(3) Now run prediction, and see how close your end result is ;)

Try to use "Full" prediction, instead of "Fast" prediction.
Let me know your results ( I'll explain the details later, when I'm done ;) )

OK, used Tmpeg 2.58
Full prediction (loooong)
max. 2000 kbits/sec.
min. 945 kbits/sec. (50% of average 1889)

NO WAY average 1889 8O
There's no way you get an average of 1886Kbps for a movie of 01:49:46 on one CD :!:
Check your settings again.

Moviestacker 1st tap
Video Stream
Average kbps> 1889

1889/2=944.5 ~ 945 this is what i used

Edit: Dammmmm shhhh had it for 2 CDs no wonder :x

Average kbps 888/2 = 444 kbps Sounds better :?:

let u know later homes :!:

I pm the results kwag; and answering my own :?: i was able to make tok to do prediction with CQ_VBR by chainging the following lines in the video ini,

*Job.MPEG.Video.RateControlMode=MPEGVideoEncoder_R ateControlMode_VBR_Auto
*Job.MPEG.Video.AVBR_Quality=60
*Job.MPEG.Video.AVBR_MaxBitRate=2000000
*Job.MPEG.Video.AVBR_MinBitRate=300000

I couldn't get tok to chainge the bitrate using the tap so i made the chainge straigh at the video ini. now i want to experiment with some
352x resolutions.

EDIT: dont bother with what i post above, tok just hangs at 60%....
