when using the MA script with dvd sources, I sometimes find the images need a bit of sharpening. What's a better method, changing asharp to (2,4) or using lancoz resize? BTW I never see any of the "artifacts" I've heard of when using lancoz...

Lanczos will be too sharpening in this case. Better to raise a little the values a asharp or removing the blur done on the luma.
