Avisynth: Black & White source?
:D Hi guys.
I just encoded some black & white? avi files, even tough the results were good it made me think on certain isues: 1) :?: How do I know for sure that certain avi (dvd, or other source) is a real B&W movie?, because in one I did notice some sephia colouring and I´m not sure is color or monitor effect. 2) :!: Once I know I´m dealing with B&W source, wath would be the right script? Wich filters have a effect or not, on this kind of souce? Are there some filter we should not apply? This question is related to avisinth filters so I will apreciate somebody point me where i can foud information about this subject. thanks in advance. |
Re: Black & White source
1) Use Coloryuv(analyze=true). Watch the U/V values. For "true" black+white, both should average around 127-128. Check maximum+minimum to check if there is chroma noise.
2) Use greyscale() to kill all remaining color. |
