How to select source range with Avisynth?

What is the command to select source range? Like I want to encode from X to frame Y only.

I think the command is Trim(X,Y) However there is a problem. I use TMPGEnc to decide what range to select but the range in TMPGEnc is different than what Avisynth selected. Say in TMPGEnc, I want from 0 to frame 100. When I use Trim (0,100), the end result is much longer than 100 frames. Can anyone tell me why? Is there a conversion I have to use?

I see. I think it's because TMPGEnc's source filter is using 30 fps as reference where actually the video is 23.976 fps which Avisynth uses as a reference. Is there another utility I can use to preview the video frame by frame? Let me try Vdub.

VirtualDub is a great tool for that :D
