Low Space on D: hard drive
I keep getting above message on the partition established by the system on the primary drive. I have no problems with use of the drive. What should I do?
When I click on the message icon, it show me the "Clean up" screen. Nothing is checked as being able to cleanup. When I click on cleanup anyway, the message goes away, but reappears in a day or so. Gateway Pentium D, WindowsXP MCE, WD Sata 2500 HD |
Have you run a virus check already?

Take in account that some encoders produces intermediate files, as vaf or first pass ones that can take a lot of space. Normally they store it in their installation folder (temp subfolder). Check it. |

This is the system partition, so I never access it. The physical drive itself, C: and D:, has half its storage area empty. |

Give us some more info.
How many MB or GB does that partition have? How many MB are seen as free/unalocated? How much is set up for virtual memory and in which drive? How much is set for system restore and in which drive? Etc... |

Became brave enough to open the D: partition and found a maveric ttt.mp3 file recently added there. Have no idea what this is (will not open with player), but went ahead and deleted it. Computer still runs, so it must be ok. Have no idea how this file was written on the system drive, but it had filled the thing up. Thanks for your responses :D :D Sorry about that :( :( |
Sure, no problem ;-)
