Video editing in Windows Vista?

Are there people that use Vista now ?

I wonder if the main tools we use to have fore KVCD / KDVD are working well or not :

- Tmpgenc
- HCencoder
- CCE
- DVD Lab Pro
- Avisynth (of course)
- ...

Let me know !

I know that CCE has "memory could not be read" error issue.

I don't use CCE very often anyway. No problem with DVD Lab Pro and HCenc ? UI would really miss these ones if they don't work :-(.

And DVD-Rebuilder too ? (hugh... this is when I use CCE )

Ok I found one : VCDEasy does not work in Vista.

I bought a new Acer notebook (17" display  ) and the FIRST thing I did was delete Vista :!:
It's a PIG in memory!
The machine consumed 750+MB of RAM after boot, without running anything else!
I installed Ubuntu, and then installed VMWare Server, which let's me run Windows XP in a virtual machine, and it runs almost as native speed ;)

Hello Karl :).
Same goes here.
I had Vista in my companies HP laptop.
They bought 3 identical laptops for the tech support team.
When we noticed how many memory the bloody OS was spending we simply erased it and installed XP since we already had plenty of XP licenses with CALs.
I just don't want to know anything about Vista for the next couple of years unless in the mean time M$ pulls the plug on XP.
Cheers pal :)

I totally underline that. I heared about that many issues that I made my count in advance with vista. The essence is that its a bumped up system using effects nobody needs and its another playground for M$ coders where I dont wanna know how much dead or useless code is swimming in the Vista-Soup. ;-)
