Check out "Tufftest Basic v1.53" for hardware diagnostics. There is
a free version, if you want to try before you buy :)

Gee... my hard drive is 3 years old and i never had a problem,
i never hear it Y..ning like other i have a old western 30gigs which
by the way is getting smaller by todays standards :(
