ORIC-1
I can't stay seeing the list growing without adding the name of my very first computer :-)
So it was an Oric-1 (even if my first program was done on the ZX-81 of my sister's boyfriend). I remember how happy I was when I saw that the shop gave me by mistake a 48k model insteed of a 16k. 48k stands for the memory. 48 KILOBYTES ! After this I had an Atmos and finally a Telestrat. I really loved oric computers :-) |
And 48K at that time was a HUGE memory
It's amazing how much you could really do in 48K, like games (Space Invaders, etc. ) which were ~8K 8O Now, we have a M$ applications that welcome you with "Hello World", and they size around 2MB :rotf: Talk about bloated software  Probably the single source line: Print "Hello World" in M$, just takes the 48K  Is the world going backwards 8O :?: -kwag |
