C: is getting smaller and smaller for each day!!
I have a litle problem with my computer...
Free space on C: is getting smaller and smaller for each day... I have tried to clean up my hard drive by deleting system restores and tempenory files, but the used space just groving and groving. Total space is: 3,42 GB Free: 196 MB Used disc space: 3.23 GB Folders in C: Documents and Settings: 244 MB Prgram files: 632 MB Windows: 1,2 GB I found some strange big hidden system files: C:\pagefile.sys: 384 MB C:\hiberfil.sys: 511 MB I have tried to delete pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys, but it didn't work, cause the file was in use. Any ideas??????? :?: |
Open windows in security Modus and try to delete the files now.
ry to defragment your hard disk. You can also delete the windows checkpoints. They use a lot of memory. |
An other nice try encode master but noone can erase these file except windows itself.
C:\pagefile.sys: is the swap file used for the virtual memory and you should'nt try to remove or reduce it. C:\hiberfil.sys is the file used for hibernating mode. If you do not use that feature you can go in control panel, power settings, and uncheck the box in "hibernating mode" tab (don't know its exact name in english). |
So I have post more possibilities to have more space.
