Konspire2b

As posted on the "What's happening" section, I'll be moving ALL software downloads on this site, including all samples, over to Konspire2b network.
This will take off Gigabytes of monthly transfer out of our web server, and will also be a place to post any KVCD related news, in case the web site goes down, as it has happened in the past.
This will basically "mirror" all software and samples that are currently hosted on our server, throughout every user that runs the client. So even if KVCD.Net site goes down, anyone can still grab software and samples and maybe even latest news :!: from the Konspire2B network, simply using the "Kast" client :D
So go, no, I mean RUN, and grab your software

Hi rds_correia,

It's as simple as clicking on the "Subscribe" link, right beside the "KVCD" channel :)
You'll see all channels available when you click on the "catcher" link, and there you should see "KVCD".
You don't have to download any keys. It's automatic.

EDIT: don't know why but it started working.....

Hi Karl,
I think there's something missing here.
I downloaded and installed kast.
Then I started it by 2xclicking "kast.exe".
Then I 2xclicked the "openME.html" which seams to be the GUI for it html based or something.
Then I 1xclicked on "click here to connect to local client".
A new html window appears with "kast start page (default skin)".
In this new window I can press:
-hosts
-status
-settings
-subscriptions
-received
-catcher
-create channel
-broadcast
Now, I've already tried the "subscriptions" link which sent me to a new window where I can input a "channel name" 'cause there's no combo box to choose kvcd channel, and there is a "key url" field which was the one I was talking about.
I already tried to input KVCD on the "channel name" field and hit the subscribe button but it keeps showing "failed to fetch key from: http://
" on screen...
Any hints you could give to this noob?
Thanks

Hi guys,
Now that I subscribed the KVCD channel, what do I do?
How do I download anything?
This might be a wonderful util but it comes with a hard GUI.
And I can't find any info on how it works.
Will some of you guys already using it give us some hints?
Thanks.

Hi rds_correia,

Don't do that.
When you first connect, Kast must find IP addresses of "Neighbors" to connect. Once it's connected, if you click on "catcher", you should see a list of available channels, and a KVCD channel should appear.
If not, just wait a minute or two, and click "catcher" again.
You should then see KVCD somewhere in there, because I'm broadcasting continuously.
Also, if I disconnect, you should still see KVCD, because I've seen many downloads from my Kast. So there are already a lot of people who have "mirrored" the samples I initially broadcasted :)

You should already be receiving data :)
