KVCD: KVCDx3 Half Screen Solution?

Hello all, I was stoked to hear about an increase in quality with a new template but when I tried it, I only got half a screen off to the left. It had been shifted over. I began reading and noticed that other users were having the same problems. I have found a solution. In FitCD, instead of selecting 3/4 DVD Small, Select 3/4 DVD Full. Then, in TMPGEnc, set the resolution in the KVCDx3 template to 544x480. This gives a us a horizontal value that is a multiple of 32, conforming to the standards of some picky DVD players.

By the way, I am using a GE 1101P DVD player (to correct the chart, it does work). The templates do not work in MPEG-1 on my player but changing to MPEG-2 and selecting 3:2 pulldown solves the problem.

Thanks for that tip a_star62 :D
It seems most players like the (small) 3/4, not the (large)3/4.
At least on my five S/A players. I had tried the 3/4 large, and it overlapped a small portion on my Panasonic RP-56, and that's why I went with the small 3/4. But hey!, if that worked on your player, then that's probably the solution to many other players!. And the difference in pixels is almost the same, so quality should be equal with either small or large 3/4 resolution.

just tried 544x480 (3/4 DVD full) , rest are x3 defaults, on APEX 600A. Played well with no skips. I need to add audio to see what happens.
... will update soon.

Thanks
