Mencoder: File undersized?
OK i know when using MEncodeMe with mpeg1 we were getting undersized files but now i got a dvd writer i am trying dvd but still am getting the same result
Its an avi that is roughly 90 minutes and i load avi filtering and select half kdvd and set media size to 1400 avg bitrate of around 2000 352x480 and the final size was 550mb :o Can someone please explain to me what i am doing wrong |
If the video is correc then that means that mencoder didnt need more bit to encode it :!:
You are doing a really small video (90 min) and you ask 1/2DVD reso. That's not a surprise. |
What should i select instead of half kdvd to put 2 or 3 movies on 1 dvd
|
Full DVD :!: :-)
mencoder or even tmpgenc of course can put easily 4h of anamorphic video on a DVD. And if you plan to do non anamorphic (letterboxed, not fullscreen !) then you can put 6h, so 3 movies. But I won't do that. |
OK thanx
I can see i still don't understand some of the dvd settings yet  ,but i will eventually |
Theres also in MencodeMe a template similair called as "DVDHQ" or so.
This forces lmin=0.3 or so similair. Which makes larger files (and even more quality possible) |
Are you using mpeg1 or mpeg2? Mencoder gives better results with mpeg2 :)
|
Thanx Inc ,but i don't see the template
@ Koekies I am using Mpeg2 ,i had the problems with mpeg1(like everyone was), thats why i don't understand whats going on ,I seem to be getting the same results mpeg1 and mpeg2 |
KDVD full in your target subdir in your mencodeme dir open it with notepad and change it
|
Thanx Koekies
One more ? is it the value rigfht before the notch matrix starts :D |
there should be only one lmin but in both the KDVD files half and full the lmin=1 so lower it to 0.3
-Koekies EDIT: I'm using lmin=0.01 for ksvcd |
