KVCD: Mpeg-2 with Pulldown?
Most of the dvd's i have are 29.97 ntsc interlaced.
I have tried samples to encode at 23.976 with 3:2 pulldown and the svreen just drags when played on the dvd player though works well on the pc. Is there something wrong i am doing or just my dvd player. |
You are running pulldown on MPEG-2's, right :?:
Because it won't work correctly on MPEG-1. And I assume you're doing pulldown, either for KSVCD or KDVD playback, right :?: Edit: Never mind the MPEG-1. I just re-read your subject. -kwag |
Yes for Ksvcd.
It drags and moves thru slowly and the picture is really small when i burn as svcd so i mux it as vcd now and it plays fine i.e without 3:2 pulldown. For now i just Telecide and encode at 23.976. |
You're sources are 29.97 interaced or 29.97 pulled-down ?
That's not really the same thig If interlaced you should encode it in 23.976 as you did but using this script : http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8678 Did you do that ? |
Trying this script tonight , had never seen this before.
Thanks will post the results here. |
I posted a new version of scharfis_brain's function in that thread in case you're interested
