Resizing for kdvd?

I have an avi that is 640x??? and I want to convert it to kdvd. Is there any point to resizing the target width to 740? What is the effect of resizing up?

Use Moviestacker or FitCD to get the right resizing values. ;-)

Full TV DVD size is btw 704 and not 740 ;-) But I think you just mistyped
