What shall the bitrate be?
 

Hi.
I tried to encode a movie using the KVCD Plus template.
But i had to have an bitrate of Max 300.Isn't that very low.
Anyone know what's wrong?

The max bitrate isnt 300. The min bitrate is 300. And TMPG will barely ever go down as low as the minimum bitrate when encoding a video. You have nothing to worry about, just try for yourself and find out.

But when I have the max bitrate on 1150 and the CQ on 35 I will end up with an file that is 3264 MB,and that's wrong.
In the Project wizard (4/5) it says this: 352x240 23.976fps / 44100 Hz Dual Channel / 350 min 51 sec

But the video I try to encode isn't 350 min 51 sec. Is it something wrong with the movie.It's in .AVI

ull have to extract the sound file using virtual dub. under the audio tab choose 'full processing mode'. then change from 44800 to 41000 via the conversion option, and finally choose no compression under the compression tab. finally sav as an uncompressed wav. the file should be close to a gig.

as for the estimated file size, just ignore it. all my file estimate sizes are around 1150 mb, but they always come out about 700-750 mb. as long as ure estimated file size is around 1500 mb u should be ok.
